COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus)

Although some commercial businesses at the World Trade Center have adjusted their operating hours, the public areas remain open under the continued operation of the Port Authority of NY & NJ for all members of the community who need to use our facility for essential transportation and connection purposes. Details on current hours and closures below:

  • Westfield Shops and Dining at the Oculus are temporarily closed. Some retailers remain open to provide ‘essential’ services and products to customers, including these retailers open for takeout and delivery.
  • One World Observatory is temporarily closed.
  • 9/11 Memorial & Museum is temporarily closed.
  • Vehicle access points across the campus are currenly limited as follows:
    • West Street southbound left turn lanes at Liberty Street (entrance/exit)
    • Trinity Place at Liberty Street (entrance)
    • Greenwich Street at Liberty Street (exit)
    • Fulton Street at West Street (exit)        

The World Trade Center has increased cleanings of restrooms and surfaces frequently touched by customers throughout the Oculus World Trade Center Transportation Hub. All areas will be disinfected on a regular basis using EPA-approved and CDC-endorsed disinfectants. For more information please click here.


The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey encourages all travelers utilizing the agency’s facilities across the region to make themselves aware of the health and safety protocols established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the New York State Department of Health, and the New Jersey Department of Health with regards to the coronavirus. Should you have questions or concerns about the coronavirus, please consult the following:

The Port Authority has also deployed public health guidance PSAs in terminals and stations. The agency encourages all travelers to make themselves aware of the health and safety protocols established by the CDC and state and local health authorities. 

  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. 
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick and stay home when you are sick.
  • If you have recently traveled and feel sick with a fever, cough or trouble breathing, or develop symptoms, you should seek medical care right away. 


Service Alert

WTC PATH Station

The World Trade Center PATH station will be open the weekend of March 28-29, 2020. The NWK to WTC & JSQ-33 (via HOB) is running. There's no service between HOB and WTC. For travel between HOB & WTC, transfer at GRV. See PATH for more details.
