Iconic Rivalry

Both teams have a rich history dating back to the time when the L.A. Dodgers were known as the Brooklyn Dodgers. This highly anticipated matchup features a rivalry that goes all the way back to the 1940s, marks the first time these teams have met in the World Series since 1981, when the Dodgers triumphed in six games. The last Subway Series between the teams, back when the Dodgers were the Brooklyn Dodgers, was in 1956, where Don Larsen pitched a perfect game and Jackie Robinson played his final game. The Yankees boast a record 27 World Series titles, while the Dodgers have claimed seven. Will this year’s matchup be a revenge mission or a redemption story?

Star Power: MVP vs. MVP

This year, star players like Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman (Dodgers) will square off against Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, and Giancarlo Stanton (Yankees). With Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani likely contending for MVP honors in their respective leagues, this series is shaping up to be one for the ages. To see how the game’s best players will perform on the biggest stage will be nothing short of transcendent. An MVP showdown has only happened once in the past 35 years--when Buster Posey’s Giants swept Miguel Cabrera’s Tigers in 2012.

Fan Base Passion & Community

East Coast vs. West Coast—this timeless rivalry between two of America’s greatest cities is sure to electrify. While the passionate fanbases will be on full display, the World Trade Center’s viewing party is all about bringing the community together to share the excitement.

Whether you are a devoted Yankees fan, a West Coaster living on the East Coast, or just a New Yorker soaking in the moment, the World Trade Center is the destination to share your excitement amongst the community. Stop by to watch one of the World Series games at the World Trade Center!
